Our 4th international conference on sleep and memory

A cross-species discussion
Replay@CUBRIC featured 16 guest speaker talks exploring sleep and memory consolidation across both human and rodent research. Topics ranged from molecular mechanisms and neural plasticity to ripples, emotional memory and targeted memory reactivation (TMR).
New this year
Our neural replay classification workshop, led by Mahmoud Abdellahi, with guest speakers Dan Bendor and Thomas Schreiner, was a brand new addition to Replay@CUBRIC. This free to attend satellite event hosted 3 talks and encouraged discussion around identifying replay through liner classifications, ground truth and using deep learning to align participant patterns.
Posters and Un-Conferences
Alongside our main schedule of talks, we hosted poster sessions showcasing exciting work from researchers across different disciplines and research institutions. We're a big advocate for creating discussion opportunities and so across both days, we hosted our "un-conference" sessions. These are informal smaller discussion groups on topics submitted and voted on during the conference, allowing guests to curate topics of their choosing. Smaller group discussions also took place, allowing guests to problem-solve and collaborate on ideas.
Out on the town
We are privileged to be based in the lovely city of Cardiff so each evening was filled with time to relax and connect with informal drinks and socials across the city. Giving attendees a chance to connect and unwind in a more casual setting. We also hosted our end of conference celebration event, with prizes for Best Poster Award and Green Travel Award.

Stay Connected!
We've set up dedicated Discord Channels where attendees and any interested researchers can join to share posters, ask questions, start discussions and keep in touch. If you haven't joined yet, you can join the Discord here.
A huge thank you to all our guest speakers, attendees and organizers who made Replay@CUBRIC-25 a great success.
Our conference is held every 2 years and we're already looking forward to what the next one will bring!
